i thought i can edit it.. ive read the postale canada from my hubby from dropbox  so..it was sucessfullly delivered at Sept. 1,2011 so its 3 days prior to my submission.. thats only i can gave....gud eve

Why would they do that when the old forms are still accepted up to March next year.

I agree maybe they were sent back for another reason but they cannot send back the old forms when they are still being accepted

I sent the old forms since it's still accepted till march 2012. I already printed it out last June and started filling it up so when they changed the forms I didn't want to repeat the whole process all over again and waste paper,ink and effort lol. I just hope there won't be problems.

Thanks everyone! Since all of our forms are already signed and dated if I can send in the old one that would make my life just that much easier, but if they are going to send it back to me, then I'll go ahead and fill out the new one - especially if it will make the process smoother! 
 
Is anyone else in September submitting an inland application?

yes you  r right you dont have to use the new forms but you must must must fiil out this new form the new genric IMM0008 and fillout electornicy and have this bar codes then send it wz whole package this is only if u submit after july 20 ,2011

no they send it back for this reason not for another my spouse called immigration n  they told her its ok the old forms still accepted but we just have to fillout this new form IMMGENRIC  IMM0008 geniric
and this is elctronicy not online imean you have fillout using ur computer then fillout the print then sign it that is it

I believe what your saying, but to me it doesnt make sense that if you filled in the forms BEFORE the new forms came out,they would then send the application back for not using them. We sent them off and they got there after the date that they said that we had to use the new ones, it doesnt make sense that they would then make us redo the forms when the old forms are still being accepted until march 31st 2012.
It says "As of July 18, 2011, applicants for Permanent Residence are asked to complete the new Generic Application Form for Canada " Not you "have" to use the new forms, you couldn't get the old forms as of July 18th admittedly, but it doesnt make sense to not accept the old forms when they say they still are.
If that was the case they should have put a notice on the website saying at least 2 months before the change over stating that the new forms are now on the website to use and as of july 18th the old forms will not be accepted.
that then would make sense that they would return anyones application for not using the right forms.

ahhhhh... the days increased again for approval... its really my expectation its very impossible to make it low...there are more applicants coming...huhuhuh 63 days

Well, first of all, Im not gonna argue with you over this and secondly Im certainy not gonna call Immigration to provoke them and give them an excuse to be awkward with me and make me jump through hoops to get my PR, maybe you got unlucky and they requested this from you for some reason i dont know. But I will wait and see what they do and see if they contact the hundreds of people that have done the same as we have and sent in the old forms.
The reason they are asking people to fill out the new forms is so they can start to make it easier for them as well as us and hopefully make the system quicker, but like anything you can't just do a sudden change, it has to be phased out and the new forms bought in. So we will have to see how all those people get on that sent in the old forms before the new forms were even in place and have yet to get their sponsorship.
But I do have a question for you, did you origianly call CIC about the forms and they told you that, or did they contact you about them through email/letter, just curious.
