I'm not sure if anyone else is having/had a similar issue to this....but I'm not able to sign into e-cas even though I've been approved for sponsorship.
I hate calling cic because we all know it's basically a high-tech game of cat and mouse sometimes but I'm just wondering if anyone else has had an issue like this. Maybe it's something that I'm doing? I use the Client ID from the approval letter and I've also tried our receipt number with both of our info with no luck...any suggestions?

@ sivathegreat Your application and mine are poosted the same date. But CIC receive yous just one day after me. I am just wondering can you log in ecas? I cant yet.. Hope this week will get some news |

@ GBL2011 same here my husband just got our approval yesterday.and when we are trying to check the ecas it says "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided". maybe because the ecas has not updated yet |

u w8 1 week from the date u received ur mail approval to check ur ecas. its very nice color heheheh. but i dont know about email cause is faster to arrived than mail...

I had the same problem before i don't know if this helps but use the sponsor's info and the family name all caps |

Not yet. I called the CIC to check what is my client ID they said if I am the sponsor i can use the PR card Client ID will post here once I am able to log in But note, even guys who got approval facing difficulty to login! It is mystery! |

Hey guys, When I called CIC today morning, I inquired if I can check ecas for updates on my file. They said in most cases it'll approx take 2 weeks after your file has been approved for ecas to be updated. Ajay |

Has everyone gotten their snail mail or email about the sponsorship approval already? We got our eCAS approval November 7, and it's 3 weeks later and still no snail mail or email about it. eCAS still says decision made for the sponsor, and application received for the applicant and nothing else. I would expect a medicals received or CEM received status by now...  I would not want to call the call center or the VO as I've heard this will lengthen the process even more... |

calling the call centre will not lengthen the process at all. Some people do not even receive an email or snail mail. We did not and we are finished and visa received. Ecas is not updated as frequently as we would think and the status can sit there for some time before it changes. Give the centre a call. Decision Made will remain on ecas until you have actually landed and your COPR has been processed. Then you will see Completed.
