Anyone is trying to call the CIC call center from outside Canada?
Please help me out I can't reach them from United Arab Emirates on their toll free number..
My relative in Montreal tried to reach them to have another number other than the toll free number, but the record msg states 'that currently there is no staff to attend your call'.

Hi, you can try this: It is possible to reach the CIC call centre from outside Canada via Foreign Affairs Canada:
+1 613 944 4000 (for an agent: options 1,2,1,2,1 ... then 0 to skip the message) I hope you can reach them using 613 area code number. |

My estimated sponsorship approval date says 27/11, yet it says 0 days till processing. Should be 3. By the way, you are not going to tell me you do all of this manually, without codes that calculate some stuff for you?! Or does google spreadsheets not have that option? I know Excel does. |

its because we use the 24 as date of last approval so that date drives the approval but you are correct you are 3 days away Edit: Fixed |

If the status on ur courier said delivered then you shouldn't worry too much about loosing. Give them some time and call again on monday to see if they have started processing ur application. Try going to ur local post from where u sent n see if they have any records under ur name n payment receipt??
Finally, Canada post help me find my Tracking No. tonight. I will call CIC tomorrow morning, and ask them to help me check according to my tracking no.. |

JUst a few questions wondering if anyone can help? Ive been trying to log onto the online application status section of the CIC website, using recipt number etc. It says it doesnt recognize my details. Does this mean my file hasnt been opened yet? Also do they only update this once a week? My app got recieved CPC-M on 15th, I noticed a few people after me have got approvals, should this be a cause for concern? I guess it just depends on the agent working on your application... Oh yeah and for the people that are already approved, are most people getting emails or letters? Myself and my spouse both provided emails so im presumming this is what they will use? Any help would be much appriciated! Thanks!  |

Sorry but the receipt number will not work to log on to ecas. Once your file is opened or when it is close to the 66 days posted then call CIC and ask for your UIC number and they will give it to you if available to give.
