Hi Siddharth:  I suspect the first person who comes up with the answer to your question will be raised to sainthood.  This is what we all want to know.  Since the rules changed 26/06, no one has received a file number, so you are in good company.  Welcome to the club!

Yes our friend is a post 26/06 applicant (26 July arrived at CIO).  We are all wondering how it is a fast track now that we've heard 33 wks.  It was supposed to shave 120 days off the process by sending complete docs to CIO, in fact, until 4 August the PCC was also included in that package.  Having to provide the PCCs was a real challenge for those who had travelled to certain countries or to many countries and it made it fairer for all once they dropped the PCC requirement.  Those who had their fees cashed are the only ones who have had any indication their applications have begun to move.  Fees have not been cashed in order of arrival and there does not appear to be any pattern yet as to the reason some have and some haven't.  More patience required and all will work out.  When did you apply?

hi pippin,
i applied a week ago, I have heard rumours that no one/ few have received their file numbers post june 26 applications. It seems that the cic is taking time to clear the backlog in delhi, so that after it can expedite the files filed in sydney canada. Hypothetically speaking!! It seems logical to me  Roll Eyes.
Anyways take one day at a time, till then
hang in there
thx
