Hi imranmani

You seem to have sent a well-supported application. I can't think of anything you missed.

MIS probably has misinterpreted the points test instructions. You WILL be awarded 16 points for your proficiency in English. The points test does not ask if your native language is Urdu, Hindi or Swahili; it only asks which of the two (English or French) Canadian Official Languages would be your first official language and awards you up to 16 points for proficiency in that language (8 points for the other). You chose it to be English and correctly claimed 16 points for your proficiency in English.

Goodluck to you. //

This is totally wrong information.

He will get definitely 16 points.

Here First Lanhuage means English or french

If u select english max points u can get are 16 and then if u also know french that will be 2nd language and in that u can claim max 8 points....

and vice versa...

Please read the guides properly and avoid any wrong info

Again this is wrong analysis...

if his points are 61 (as per ur calculation) he should have been rejected by CIO.....

CIO will never issue AOR and will not ask for docs submission to Visa office if points are less than 67,,,,,while he already got AOR and submitted full docs to VO...

Dude let me clear few confusions here

if you receive first AOR that doesnt mean that you have attained 67 marks - first AOR is just the confirmation of your eligibility whereas second AOR is just the acknowledgment of your complete documents.

Even if you are scoring 40 marks you will still receive both the AORs. .

now coming down to the main point - all of you have not read the instructions properly, go to below link and read the  last table - even if you are score 9 band in ielts and English is your second language you can max claim 8 points.

above information is as per my understanding correct me if i am wrong . . .

Dear MIS you are definitely wrong. please read from the link which you posted.

If you have some proficiency in both English and French, decide which language you are more comfortable using. This is your first official language. The other is your second official language.

You must prove the level of language proficiency you claim on your application.

To do this, you must take a language test from an agency designated by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) before starting the immigration process.

And you are very wrong about the AORs as well.

you are saying first AOR is just the confirmation of your eligibility whereas second AOR is just the acknowledgment of your complete documents.

what do you really mean by eligibility Huh? eligibility is 67 points. though that is correct that even after the first AOR visa officer can reject the application, if you don't have the supporting evidence for your claimed points. One will never get first AOR if one's marks are less than 67 in simple calculations.

If you don't know something, you should not persist so much on that thing. Rather you should better leave it for senior members.

Thanks & Regards
