Hi All,

I got 5 points in adaptability as my sister is in Canada, i had submitted my sister below mentioned documents while submitting my Docs to ND.

Bank statement
Address proofs
PR cards
LAnding records
Sister and brother-in-law working experience letters
Passport scan copies etc....

But recently my sister got another job with good sal and position and she recently buyed new House in Canada.

But i did't update ND CHC about my sister's new job and present address, recently my e-case status has changed to In process but i did't receive meds request till now as every body got it with the same timeline.

I have sent an e-mail to ND about my status and i got a below reply from ND.

Can you please tell me what exactly it meant.... and do i have to update my sister changes (they can retrieve my sister current details using PR cards i guess)

"This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

Under Canada's immigration legislation, all immigrant applications are subject to statutory requirements, including medical and background checks. These requirements must be satisfied before an applicant may be granted permanent resident status. In this context, certain background investigations are being conducted in connection with your application. As these investigations are conducted by outside agencies, we have no purview over the processing time. We are therefore unable to give an exact time frame in which we expect to conclude the verifications on this case.

For now, there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the checks are completed the next steps in this application will be determined. Until then, we will not be able to provide any additional information on this case.

Delays in the processing of visa applications are always disappointing to all concerned, but rest assured that all efforts are being made to ensure efficient and expeditious processing of all visa applications.

We trust that this information will be of assistance."

Thanks in advance.

hi

you dont need to worry about anything. they are concerned only if your sister is a permanent resident not with her house or new job. back ground checks are routine and nothing to do with your sister.actually they have replied to you in a context that you asked about status of your application. so they are telling you that you need to wait for some time before any decision is made as background checks are in process but it is nothing to do with your sister's job or house

so do not worry and no action is required from you

Dear Lavanyar

If I were in your place, I would inform CHC about changes. This may cause additional delay but will give more assurance of positive outcome.

Also I have observed people claiming points for adaptability for Canadaian relative or past canadian stay (education/experience) have to wait more for Visa in comparision to others because of background checks.

Thanks

Hi,

This is not an issue, the important documents is the landing forms, PR card and you have also provided her bank statement which confirms her presence in Canada. If visa officer is unable to track her detail which is imppossible he/she will give you a chance to provide more documents. So at this stage just wait and dont worry you backgrounds checks are on when they are done you will get a medical request.

Cheers

IN PROCESS basically marks the end of background checks, why the hell VO would continue to carry on doing that. ridiculous things are happening. The reply was very gentle though.
