Hi, I quick question, I don't have any birth certificate am from Pakistan, I sent my documents to Buffalo and have 2nd AOR, I expect they might ask me for Birth Certificate and I don't know who to have one, as that time there no registration system in Pak in villages. What are my options can I use my National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistani's for this purpose (same for my wife). thanks

Hi zulkfal,

You can go to townhall of your city to get a birth certificate. I was also not having my birth certificate so I ask my uncle for it. He went to townhall in Lahore and got it but I don't know about the exact duration of this process because I have got it before applying for Canadian Immigration.

Dear u better strive to get it done other wise defeciency may cause un-necessary delays but No doubt this is a usual problem. Off course there is a central data base centre from where u could apply and get the document.

Sometimes, educational certificates or NIC do the magic but better gear up

Hi,

We also didnt have our birth certificates, we just submitted passports and degrees as proof. My brother also didnt have, my sister also didnt, and they r both in canada now. For us, Birth Certificate was not a problem, they asked for it, but we explained and they accepted.

Very interesting reply. Do we have to attach a letter explaining why we are not sending birth certificates. Also, why are birth certificates required for Pakistanis? Why cant passport and NADRA card to the job?

there are applicants including Qorax who submitted secondary school certificates instead of birth certificates and they are in canada right now. i have original BCs for my wife and daughter but could nt get mine since my parents did not registered my birth.. so i am submitting my ID card, secondary school certificate + passport copy alongwith an explaination in the cover letter.

Hi,
I have applied as main applicant and gave birth certificate (original) in my application from Pakistan in 2009.
Now, my wife wants to apply as primary applicant with me as dependent, but I do not have my birth certificate (lost the copy that I had, and I have to include it as an identity document in my wife's application).

Please let me know if you have experienced similar problem. I can provide them a letter explaining the situation and give them my file number.

My application has been transferred to London Office and she will be applying from the same office.

Thanks for help.
