Seniors please advice

Hi all,
Our medicals has been sent to the consulate on 15th june. And it's been 2months and counting....,,, we haven't heard anything from the consulate ( Detroit) yet...and even the online status of our application hasn't change.....it says " interview scheduled on 28th may 2009".
Now I've fallen into a new drama....Since I'm out of status ..the Department of Homeland Security has called me and I have to meet an agent tomorrow morning .....My husband
( who is the primary applicant) is going with me too to report the agent as he is out of status too...I'm taking an attorney with me....who said he may try to extend the deportation procedure for 1 year ....or we have to go back to our country with in 3 months...
What can we do now?

Wht type of Visa are you on?
Ask your attorney to push for an extension of deportation proceeding for at least 6 months. You should get the PR by that time. (But know one thing.. your future return to USA will be very problematic)
28th May was the interview date.. Did you give interview? Did you get any mail for interview call?

Yes we are done with our interview and later they asked for our medical which we have sent to the consulate on 15th june 2009. And the Detroit consulate recieved them on 24th June 2009.
The attorney said if everything goes well, he can buy us some time...may be 8 to 12 months.....
Don't know what gona happen next?
