Hi i am a prejune candidate, given all that has been going on with the prejunes and the prospects heading towards 2013. I was thinking and that is my question too.

Can i apply for a student visa for canada, while my PR visa is still in process?

My idea is that i can get over there by September on a student visa, without cancelling my ongoing pr visa process. Once it comes through ill already be there. Is this possible?

Hi Shah,

Yes, you can apply for student visa while your PR application is in progress....no restrictions on that. But mostly, these applications are not approved since you will have to show VERY STRONG ties with your homecountry and your intent to return to your homecountry after the period of the Student visa. This will be difficult to prove since the VO will have your information on your PR application. If you can write something substantial to convince VO about your intent to return then you may get Student visa.....and yo u will not know until you apply.
