A 72-year-old woman in Guysborough is facing deportation to the United States, and her 82-year-old Canadian friend says she'll go with her.

Nancy Inferrera left the U.S. in 2008 with her longtime friend and roommate, Mildred Sanford. They bought a trailer and settled in Sanford's hometown of Guysborough.

Inferrera thought Nova Scotia would be her permanent home, but her applications to stay in the country were rejected by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

I find it amazing how uneducated people have all the answers to the world.  This is a sad case, yes she is now here illegally but she did try to do things the legal way....

Nov 09 Approved; sent to Hong Kong.
Interview April 4, 2011 (so slow!!). Passed.
15 April 2011 New medical done.
7 July 2011  COPR received.
15 July 2011 landed in Vancouver. At last.

Nope.  I see at the bottom of the article "Report typo", "Send Feedback", and a section inviting me to click on other articles.  No comments.

It took a few secs to load the comments, it should be just under the report typo section....
