I would like to chip in a lil bit, i had to register and open an account with DHL-staples(all because of canada pr), and it is true that DHL does not courier passports to and from some countries, and our dear country is amongst one of them. That is the official policy, and passports could be intercepted and seized by the UK Govt plus there's a risk of gaining a conviction as a result. London Met has carried out many controlled delivery of intercepted Passports in sting operations. However, This one is for a legit reason, so there should be a way round it, Cic london should be able to help, or point you in a direction of how to get a waiver or something.
That is not to say one or two may not have slipped thru the net, but it is just the law. And it is borne out of abuse by a few of our fellow country pple doing all manner of runs etc. I would advise you contact CiC london to seek their advise on this. Vamsi may have done his own thing before the law came into place, who knows? or his might just be one of the few lucky ones. At this stage of PPR, i wouldn't take any chances or risk, try to ring cic london and see what they say. Pls Let me know if you do not get any response from them.
