Hello All,

I do not trust my immigration agent at all....

Has anybody ever launched an application after having hired a law firm/agent and then decided NOT to include them as your representative when you send the application form to the Canadian Embassy?

Are there any consequences to this?

Do you HAVE to mention them?

I read this in the CIC website:

"...If you hire an immigration representative

You must provide your representative's name and contact information on your application form regardless of whether your representative is paid or not.

If your representative says that this is not necessary, this is false, and you should verify the quality of your representative's advice...."

I assume they mean that this if you want them to mediate on your behalf...(which I donīt anymore)...or how should I see this?

If you could avoid him by all means, please do so ! Representatives will only complicate your case and delay it ! They take a lot of money from you and do nothing !! As far as canadian processes go, YOU DO NOT NEED A REPRESENTATIVE !

Thanks for your reply but my question now, will it delay the process if we take off the middle man?
not sure if the process will continue or I will have to fill in a new immigration file with the Government.
let me know please

It will NOT delay the process at all !

Don't be confused, go ahead with your existing application and just remove "Use of Representative" form !

Thanks for your reply mate.
I really need help here
I've already sent my application and the middle man emailed me last week saying that they have received a letter saying that soon I will have an interview in Paris.
I don't want to jeopardise all the waiting and my interview if I fill a representative cancellation right now but if he wont do anything to my application I will do tihs right now. I just want to be sure before doing anything.

Hey hold-on ............

If you are close to getting an Interview call, you should be focusing on why an interview is called for! Order you CAIPS right now and DO NOT try to cancel your representative at this stage :-)!

I ordered my CAIPS through - http://www.lawpoint.ca/index.php/Lawpoint-contacts.html
