I was just wondering if any others had specific experience or thoughts on this?     My PR app (sponsored by the Canadian wife) is now ready to send off, but just realized that the "police certificate" I'm required to provide from the FBI has an estimated 16-18week turnTime.  I did read somewhere official that it is fine to send in the PR application now, and then forward the FBI certificate later to the office processing my app.

Is this route straightforward enough,  or would anyone out there advise me NOT to stagger the app and police certificate this way, but instead way til I receive it from the FBI to send the whole thing together.    Does the FBI certificate really take 16-18 weeks, in your experience?

Thank you kindly for any advice.
