 Huh
I got an email requesting for passports today. It says that I have to send in my documents in 15 days to the LA office from where I am. However, I have a planned international trip on Nov 28th- Nov 30th. CIC told me that there is no way they can send back my passports if I sent out today.

Now here are my two questions:
(1) Can I send the passport via Canada Post to the LA office including my passports on the 30th (last day) before postal office closes? Would the stamping data matter or would the receiving day matter?
(2) Can I send over the passport via Canada Post with prepaid Fedex prepaid envelope? I read in the email that Canada Post Xpressport can't be used as prepaid envelope, but would they accept the main-in via Canada Post and do the return with a different courier, in this case, Fedex?

Thank you guys for reading this, and I am desperate for input!

I had a similar problem....and i went to the embassy in person. It took me half a day to get the visa stamped in the passport. If u can, u should fly to the VO and get it done in 1 day
