Hi everyone! its been a long time since the last  i visited this thread. Just a li'l bit busy i should say. its been 3 mos. since i got my PR. (hAPPY!) My PR Card arrived 2 months after i landed in washington, US border. yes. i did the flagpoling. you exit the border and you come back as PR. it feels so nice when you dont worry about losing your job or finding another employer because you know you dont have to go through this massive paperwork again. i feel blessed and so thankful about it. im happy that some of you guys are on the same track. keep it up guys. god bless.

What is COPR?

Confirmation Of Permanent Residence. You will get that form together with your Passport back from the Visa Office (In the Passport will be a sticker with the Visa). This form will be stamped at the Border by the Border Officer and you will get a copy for your records. This form helps you to apply/renew your SIN No or any other official documents until you get your PR Card.

I went to Carway, AB. Thats about 2.5-3 hrs south of Calgary. I arrived at the US Border and we told the Officer that we are here for landing in Canada and we want to go back right away. He asked us to come inside the office. (My Boyfriend who is Canadian and myself) We went inside the US Border and I received my Passport back and a form which said I was denied entry to the US for Immigration purposes to Canada. This rejection has no further consequence for me in the US. Its just a form -  to go back to Canada without entering US.
It took not even 10 Min and we were able to go to the Canadian Border.
We arrived at the Canadian Border Office House and were asked to go inside to the 2nd floor. Wait was about 20 min - one couple in Front of Us getting a visitor visa. The officer just asked me if I had any crime or if my status has changed and I gave him my passport and COPR Form. 10 Min later I received Passport and my copy of COPR form back and was good to go. We had to stop at the downstairs office and I was just told I am good to leave. That was all. I didnt have to show any additonal documents. I had a binder with all my Work Ceritficates etc with me but nothing.

Everyting went fast and smooth. I was really easy.

The officer asked for my passport and Confirmation of Permanent Residence. Thats about it. They didnt ask for other documents or proof. But to be safe, bring your important documents with you. Regarding the proof of funds, I dont think they will be asking that from you. I never heard any of that from my friends who got their PR thru landing.

TO: CAVINTENO94  : Hello, same tayo, na recvd ng CEM ang papers ko Nov. 8, then until now, no response yet from them.

TO: ALL  : Please share your ideas on this matter, if anybody in the forum, that went thru the situation as ours. We're so much paranoid on what to
                  do on this matter.

                Thanks,
