To claim points your work experience must be acquired within the last 10 years. since this is 2011, you can claim points for work exp  from the year 2001 to 2004(4 years). For 4 years fulltime continuous work experience you will get 21 points.

Thank you Dr.hasib, kebra & adamvaid.

I have checked the link, it was really useful.

I have talked to a consultant for details regarding applying for FSW , he is sure that I can claim 4 years work experience, which I doubt as it is already 2011 and as per my calculation I have only 3 or more years experience, but it does not amount to 4 years.

My spouse can get his diploma attested in a sealed envelope from the institution, will this be sufficient as per the requirement of Degree/Diploma must have transcript in university sealed envelope.

Please guide.

if you apply in Feb 2011 then your last 10 years will be counted from Feb 2001. in that case you must show that u had worked from Feb 2001 to feb 2004 otherwise it will be counted as 3 years work experience.

Dr.Hasib Thank you for the response, but still I have got doubts, it might sound dumb to you but when I calculate as follows I get only 3 years:

feb 2001 -feb 2001 - 1 yr
feb 2002 - feb 2003- 2nd yr
feb 2003 - feb 2004- 3rd year
feb 2004 - may 2004 - 4 months

Overall 3 years and 4 months ? or will it be counted as 4 years.

I have another query too, my spouse is applying for Tier 4 student visa to Uk by March, I am apply ting from India, will this make my case  difficult to process, or can I go ahead with my application.

Thank you
