SECURITY CHECK- IS IT DONE FOR ALL APPLICANTS OR RANDOM

Dear Senior Members.
I would like to know whether SECURITY CHECK is for all applicants OR they select Random File Nos are selected.
Also normally at what stage is security check done & How long it takes for a security check to complete.

It's difficult to know when this is actually done , but definitely after the full document has been submitted. However, I was once told files are generally review a week or 2 after the deadlines. Meanwhile, checks could be at random and reports from countries differs. Consistency in your overall form plays a major role as well. But for anyone to have a definite answer to your request is to say such person would be able to tell us all when we shall be in Canada.
