How long is your ielts score valid. For example a friend of mine got ielts july last year and due to some reasons could not apply. he wish to apply next month. In this case, should he re appear? pl advice

Thanks for the advice. We have submitted a set of docs which I understand will not be returned to us. In this case should i again have to submitt all the documents or only the ielts test. Will my application again go in the waiting que? Please advice.
