    Some advice please

If either of you guys are PC users, there is actually a neat little program that will retrieve your Skype call history for you, showing names, dates and duration of calls... which is another great way of proving communication without revealing too much. In any case, yes, 12-month cohabitation...

    Some advice please

First of all, welcome to the forum! ... and now on to some clarification :) To be eligible as a member of Family class (partner-sponsored visa, as you call it), you and your girlfriend would have to be either married or common-law partners, and for that you need to prove at least 1 year of...

    to: iloveYou!

Oh, they are trolls alright... and as such, they should not be "fed". Please, do not encourage spam or fall for obvious provocations, as it will give the troll exactly what s/he wants and you will end up with nothing but migraines. The best way to deal with them is ignoring.

    Reasons for delay of applications

The only thing really worth noting in the article is that it apparently took ten years ('97 - '07) ... let's have that sink in... TEN YEARS... to get this very visible, very public and very easy to find person out of Canada. You know, in case anyone wonders why "but they can always just be...

My quotation is can I start and submit her sponsor application? Without her pass

You can't, the package with both sponsorship application and PR application and all the supporting documents must be sent to Mississauga all at once. If the package is incomplete it will be returned and you will have to re-send it.

    Conservative anti-immigrant ad

Wonderful reasoning, except for the fact that there's no way of telling whether an immigrant 'abused the system' or not by just, you know, interacting with him/her - and for that matter, how do you even recognize an immigrant? It's not a matter of calling all immigrants bad, it's a matter of...

Hard to say how much "evidence" is enough...

There's actually been a number of inland applicants lately who received PR within weeks of AIP, in different offices, and no one can figure out why. As for the OP's question, I think quality comes before quantity in this case. Ask yourself - what purpose does this piece of evidence serve...

Does this apply to you? More Regulatory Changes to Help Prevent Marriage Fraud

My point exactly - the problem for genuine relationships with strong applications obviously isn't application processing time, but the surrounding paperwork/background checks/waiting for your turn behind the complicated cases/_______ . So trading off a two-day 'looking at your file' for a 1-hour...

Does this apply to you? More Regulatory Changes to Help Prevent Marriage Fraud

Ironically, those are usually the couples whose interviews get waived ^^ ... and whose applications are, in themselves, processed fairly quickly (at least to my understanding), and the seemingly endless waiting is the fault of background checks. Which can't really be sped up no matter what CIC...

Does this apply to you? More Regulatory Changes to Help Prevent Marriage Fraud

Because basing a decision like that on what the recently left, probably bitter and possibly vengeful ex-spouse has to say may not be the best way to go about it ;) It's a neat idea, but we mustn't forget that many, if not most, couples don't live together during the application process. Would...

Subsection 42 of the Immigration and Protection Act 2001

If your husband's ex has sole custody of their son, you could submit to the CIC copies of your repeated (written, signed, dated and all) requests for the child's medical, and her (written, signed, dated) repeated refusals to let him get one. If the CIC accepts it, you will have an option to sign...

    Inland Application 2011

Copy of a new passport, my current one is expiring in July. I don't think it would slow down the process unless you decide to shower them with a 100 new pages to read through ;)

NEW RULES PROPOSED FOR MARRIAGE SPONSORSHIPS

Sponsor my wife within Canada > Pregnant > Leave Canda?

If medical expenses are the reason for withdrawal, I hardly think this will be possible :/ Pregnancies require check-ups and follow-ups and whatnot-ups, and none of it is cheap if the OP's wife has no insurance in Canada.

    Inland Application 2011

Doing taxes -_- But I'll call some time next week to see if there's any news; I'll have some additional documents to send them soon anyway.

Sponsor my wife within Canada > Pregnant > Leave Canda?

Well.. yes and no. One of the requirements for this category is that the applicant is residing in Canada, but theoretical short breaks would be allowed, and you don't get in trouble for leaving... IF you are able to come back. If, for whatever reason, the applicant is denied entry into Canada...

If sponsorship is denied, work visa possible?

Could your partner move to the U.S.? CIC doesn't care whether or not you were considered common-law according to local laws, they just want proof of 12 month cohabitation.

INLAND: Applying for Open work permit

Well, as Love_Young said, the fastest way to check would be to post the first few sentences up here :) These letter tend to be generic so members here should recognize it right away.
