No they dont take interviews for study permit applications. You are required to submit a statement of purpose along with the application.

Yeah its a normal thing. The same thing happened with. I also applied through vfs where my biometerics were done but on the cic was never updated. Final decision is made after background check is completed. So be hopeful and any day the decision might come.

I am sorry about your rejection. Tough Luck! Bona fide students cannot work full time on study permit. That was the problem I believe. You have to make the Visa Officer believe you are coming to Canada for studying only and you will have to make them believe you will return back to your country...

I absolutely agree with this point. I waited for my medical request. Not did upfront medical. Medical request from the embassy usually means the Visa Officer is satisfied with the documents you have sent them and you are ready for the next step of the process which is medicals and background checks.

Give it 48 hours atleast. It happened the same thing with me. I got acceptance letter from the embassy after this. Be hopeful and you will hear the best news soon. Good luck!

I submitted every required document including Police Clearance Certificate along with my passport on 27th January. CIC did not ask me for additional documents during the application process. I only waited for medical request.

They never asked for my updated offer letter. Had they asked me I would have submitted them one.

Yes absolutely. You need to have an offer letter from one of the universities or colleges across Canada otherwise the whole point of comimg as an international student

If you have a copy of your application than you can link it online on CIC website. Its not necessary to link the application online but you can track your application progress.

Visa officers do check previous education completed along with program of study the candidate has applied. There is no age limit if the gap in the years of study can be justified. Otherwise there is a high chance of rejection.

Only send additional documents if they ask for it. Dont send them anything before that.
