Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

I got SA by email today! I think I was the 2nd batch, 11:50AM Jan 4th by FedEx. File was transferred to Singapore. I heard that the visa office in Singapore is one of the busiest office, so it make take a while for me to hear anything further. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Hi i really need some help plz

I believed you've applied for work permit extension prior to it being expired correct? If yes, then you are still able to work under implied status: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=188&t=17

Hi i really need some help plz

Not sure why but I was looking at my timeline and it was way longer than yours. For example, I sent my inland app Jan 2014, didn't hear anything until they emailed AOR in May (5 months). Then again nothing until Jan 2015 for my OWP (8 months!)... Maybe they had just introduced the pilot back in...

    Long wait for PR card

I doubt you will get your PR card by next week. If you are just travelling across the border to the states by car, then you can just use your CoPR upon return to Canada. However, if you are travelling by commercial (airplane, train, bus etc) then you need to apply for travel document to return...

    VANCOUVER HOUSE RENTAL IMMIDIATELY

$950 is simply out of the question, unfortunately. I once rented a run-down, 80 years old, dingy, 1 br apartment in Burnaby (30 mins bus and train to downtown) for $950 per month. And there was even a line up for it! I was considered lucky to have gotten it.

I had the same situation, thankfully my lawyer issued his certified cheque on my behalf at the very last minute because we were ready to mail the application on the 31st. When I went back to CIBC to refund the bank draft, the teller lady continued to argue with me and said bank drafts/money...
