I am from Calgary....whenever i call they background check is going on and i am not sure how long would it take it? its case by case though i applied for my wife in Jan 2019 and she got everything by June 2019 and i am still waiting...

Did they say the background check is going on or something...i applied in Sep 2018 and wrote my test in Sept 2019 but since then nothing the status is still in progress...calling them every week but same answer just wait...i have contacted MP this week lets see what they reply to MP..

I did my test in Sept and my ECAS is still in progress and during the interview officer told me background check is going on.so just wait....

How much time it took for you...i am in the same boat as you.change my name and applied for citizenship its taking hell of a time...

It may take a day to 6 months from DM to OATH...I am from Calgary waiting for Oath since September 2019.

Did you send it to Local office or IRCC Sydney office?

Test Completed but during Interview she said Background check is going on so not sure much time its gonna take may be 4 to 8 weeks.... how about you how much time it took for you for Background check?.

When did you receive your Oath invite?

Did they complete initial checks and are you ready for test? or something related to test. Did they send you any finger print request? By next month your processing time will be done and they have to work on your file sooner...

Each case is different but usually 2 months for AOR, another 2 months for test invite, a month or so for oath so around 6 to 7 months if your file is straight forward...

its usually 2 months for the AOR and after AOR 2 months for Test if your file is straight forward so overall it may take 6 to 7 months but every case is different.

i think i cannot contact the local office because they don't provide any number from Local office. the only way to contact IRCC is through their customer care @ 888-242-2100. am i right?

yes and no i see an update on ECAS that they send me correspondence i didn't receive any email but when i called them one of the executive said they sent an email and another said they sent an mail which i didn't receive it yet so i am not sure what should i do?

On July 8 my ecas has been updated saying they send some correspondence but i didn't receive any email and when i called them after couple of days they are saying they send an email for finger print request which i didn't receive it. Now i have to wait 5 days before they send me the new email...
