Ok Well my PR is being issued in the next couple of weeks so that divorce law wont be into effect before then I hope. I love my wife but things are rocky and woud hate if we did get divorced but needed to know what the laws were if that did become a factor.

Hi I wondering what are the reasons for someone losing their PR? Leaving the country for a certain period of time? Breaking the law? Divorce from your sponsor? Etc, etc??

That is really interesting! I'm currently in Canada on a visitors visa. So when they send it back I can just schedule a landing appointment?? WOW! I thought I'd have to fly out and come back through immigration at the airport.

Hi So I've sent my passport off to the London office after receiving a letter from them requesting it. I assume they attach a visa to it?? Or what happens now? Do they send me my PR card with it? I'm confused and not totally up to speed on the final stages.

Who cares about Canada post?? They emailed me my good news that my applcationwas in the final stages and emailed me the an attached letter. Score!! Fedex the rest of my paperwork now whooooop!!

Yep plan is to take it while in Canada. Although I do not have my PR I dont want to register as a International student because it costs so much.
