The point is CRA also had my friends address. Wherever they verify, they will get my friends address. If I give the actual address for that time period, they will not be able to verify and even I will not be able to prove as I do not have any document.

Don't confuse taxation year from assessment year. 2017 is the assessment year for taxation year 2016
