U mean FBI clearance in India? You just need to get police clearance certificate from India. Submit the POLICE CLEARANCE AND MEDICALS along with your application right at the beginning. Else it will take longer time.

The customs officer will not tell anything. They will not even stop him i guess. They might ask if any goods will come, i mean shipping. If he says no, he can proceed to the immigration. Its just on the way to immigration. So your husband should not have a problem moving to the immigration...

Got the passport today :) it feels so nice... :) :)

it is generally updated on Tuesdays. Many have got the passport with visa stamping on other days, but the ecas is updated only on Tuesdays.

and i saw ur post in the july thread also. i too didnt sign behind my pic. i dont remember any such rule in the application. i wud seriously ask u to relax. things will go smoothly.

relax chinthu. its the same medicals. once ur sponsorship is approved, the file will get transfered to delhi. with the copy 2 u have sent, they will call for the medical results from the doctor u had an appointment with. so u did it right.

Thanks Mr-canada and xyrus! I've been checking my status everyday.. to be frank i checked it almost 3 times a days... this morning at 9, it remained in "in process" i checked it again at 12.30, and it was changed...

mY ECAS was updated today! it says We started processing XXXXXX's application on May 28, 2010. Medical results have been received. A decision has been made on XXXXXX's application. The office will contact XXXXXX concerning this decision. this is giving me more tension now!

can you post your timeline shikha and samrupl? and do u mean 50 working days? that is excluding saturdays and sundays?

I too submitted my passport on june 4th. but i didnt receive my photos or no updates till now. is it worth it to send a case specific inquiry?

once ur file is trasferred to delhi, you will be able to see the status automatically. it will say they have started processing ur wife's( the name of the applicant) application on a date. u can use the same client id pass to log in and check it out.

i was not asked for any extra documents so far... i dont know if the medical report has reached them.. no update on e-cas so far.... kinda worried.... why not they do something like what they do for us visa.... this waiting stuff is horrible
