For family class sponsorship, if there is no eligible sponsor, there is no sponsorship or undertaking. The application will be refused without a sponsor. You lose all your money and you waste time in between. I doubt there's any sentiment involved.

You may want to update your mailing address with CIC so that when London issues the confirmation of permanent residence document, they will send it directly to Canada.

Practically all of the people in this thread are citizens of countries outside of the UK who would normally be processed at a different visa office, but because they have been admitted to the UK for at least a year, they can select London as the processing office. Several Pakistani applicants...

Hi, can someone update the spreadsheet in my comments so future non visa exempt people can see that anything goes: DM was actually April 19 (I checked ecas late). PPR came after DM on May 2. PP received May 8 and visa issued June 11. Thanks!
