hey all... well, we had our landing interview today. took about 30 minutes. all this to say is that we've prettty much reached the end of the road. happy to say that this painful journey is close to over (just waiting for the PR card now). thanks for everyone's help.

we got our letter for the landing interview last week which will be on the 20th of this month. anyone know how long the PR card takes afterwards?

Yes cpc-m. We also thought it would take longer because they requested a police certificate after stage 1 which we had to scramble to get. That took about 2 weeks on our end.

hey everyone. my wife received an email today stating that the processing is complete and that we will be contacted for an interview soon. is this stage 2 DM? if so, this was quicker than expected as we just received stage 1 in mid October.

is there a debate on this or is this clear cut that she doesn't need to leave her job? i mean, we didn't even get the OWP permit yet (although we did file it)...

Sowe got AIP a few weeks back and are waiting on my wifes open work permit. Thing is, her closed work permit expires in December. Does she need to leave the company and stop working if we don't get the open work permit in time?

We received stage 1 a few weeks back but then last week received a request for a police certificate that we need to send in. We had also sent in an OWP with our initial application. Will our OWP be held back until this police cert is sent in???

hmm... the site says consecutive and so does the CIC rep. do we still get an open work permit? or does this hinder that?
