    Cost of Living in Canada

I moved from USA in March 2009. Was running on US tag and insurance until july 2009. Purchased RBC auto insurance for $75/month after proving to them a positive driving history with records of no claim. This is in quebec. I am not sure about rates in other provinces. I have heard B.C is the...

    Cost of Living in Canada

Tunny, I did a lot of research on auto insurance in Canada before moving from US. Each and every individual is considered as a brand new driver in Canada irrespective of your driving history in your home country. Fortunately, they are willing to accommodate people who can prove a positive...

    Cost of Living in Canada

Private medical insurance covers for the cost of medicines i.e. any prescription drugs, dental and vision. It is not mandatory to have it...but good to have it if your employer has a group program. The govt sponsored health program covers any hospitalization, trip to ER and walk in clinic. ;)

Can I cross US-Canada border with an expired PR Card?

If you plan on moving to Canada by 2015, what is the primary reason for your Canadian visit in 2010? I do not understand your motive. Do you just plan on trying to maintain your PR status until 2015 so that you can move in 2015?

    permenant resident card urgent quest

Call the toll free no and provide them with your client ID...they should be able to let you know if your PR has been mailed or is still in process. When I called them last week, I was asked to call back if I do not receive my PR card in another 2 weeks.

Can I cross US-Canada border with an expired PR Card?

I think you have misunderstood the requirements. If you are a PR of Canada, you need to show your PR card if using a commercial mode of transport. If you are driving across the border from US in your own car or a rented car, you do not have to show your PR card..but they will still need to see...

June 2010 Quebec CSQ interview in NY

Sricky, If you end up sending copies of your work exp letters along with a copy of your paystub and visa to show that you worked legally, ensure that you get your originals before the interview. I am sure they would verify the originals at some point. If I were you, i'd get the originals and...
