    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

Congratulations!!!!! :D We got the letter this morning - same deal, it doesn't say much other than "We are pleased to advise you..." and that the Kitchener office will be in contact to set up the interview. Hope it's soon!

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

The exact same thing happened to us, and since we had copies of everything, we sent it all in again - they found the originals and it didn't screw up our timeline, but yup - they lost the application. The only consequence (apart from stress) was that they DIDN'T lose the work permit app...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

I think I've figured out what the problem is: crappy communication. If CIC would just tell us exactly what's going on at any given time, much of this stress and... bad-will, i guess, could be completely avoided. Anyways - ecas is changed today to Decision Made, and as I understand it, that...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

Well, a little good news - OWP arrived today, dated Jan. 27th! We did send an application with the PR package but as it was misprocessed we had to send another after receiving AIP. Processing time 3 months, almost to the day... not bad for what must be a crazy holiday season, I suppose! Hang in...

Thanks for the tip! I'll keep you posted on what happens with us - we sent the documents to the embassy towards the end of November, and haven't heard anything back yet.

NEED HELP!! Police check in Mexico, multiple states

I'm just wondering how things went for you - we're waiting on a Mexican police check from Distrito Federal, does anyone know how long we can expect to wait? Thanks!

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

Well, we've received two letters: I've been approved as sponsor, and she's been granted AIP! They asked for a new police certificate, and we sent an OWP app - I guess now we just have to wait... *knock on wood* for the chart: AIP granted November 8, 2010

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

Oh - and I wanted to mention: Letter requesting info sent July 29. About August 15th we were able to get everything sent away, and CIC claims that it was received November 1st. fearing delays in the application, I called the 800 number, and the agent told me that no, that "recieved" date was...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

cdarroch is still here - with an update! This week's ECAS: "A decision has been made and you will be contacted"!! Hopefully, it's a good decision :) @Blackberry - we got the same letter. She's been volunteering for a seniors' center to fill up the time, and my assumption is that CIC just...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

Maybe it's got something to do with where you are? We're in S. Ontario, and she does some volunteer work with a local charity, so my guess is that maybe they were after some clarification in that area. Maybe if your name doesn't pop up in anynetworks, they assume you're doing nothing? Not really...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

Hi! We sent our PR app (etc) in February, it was rec'd Feb. 5th of this year. Processing started April 20, and on July 29th we were sent a letter requesting information on Work History from February to present (requested info sent). Now, I guess, we wait, just like everybody else... we haven't...

    INLANDERS!

This is insanity. Don't they realize the effect this has on people??? I pay an exorbitant amount of taxes, and don't use our social safety nets, have kids in school, drive on the highways, make use of healthcare... too bad I couldn't direct that cash to somewhere that actually does me some good...

    INLANDERS!

good question! We got the same letter a few weeks ago, along with a form to fill out. Pretty short answers! My fiancee volunteers at a charity-run secondhand store (none of the helpers are compensated); perhaps they know this and wanted more details? That's about the only reason we could think...

    Work History

So, my fiancee can't rememberwhere she worked during school in 2001... we've made calls and etc but she can't figure it out... a little worried - what should we do?? CIC requested work history details for that period... thanks!

    INLANDERS!

Well, that's a weird letter: we need to provide work history from feb 2010 to present. She has been unable to work - they denied the OWP (which was sent in the same envelope as the other apps) out-of-hand within a month of receiving our package. So no work history. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?? we...

    INLANDERS!

Well, perhaps, perhaps not - I thought we'd put together a bulletproof application; I have no idea what info they might be requesting... hopefully you don't hear anything other than AIP! :)
