Call CiC and ask. My hubby's work permit was gonna expire on October 16th. When he called, he was told not to apply again as he was only weeks from completing this journey and the phone rep was right. They usually will not tell you to NOT reapply if your case was not going to be completed prior...

In our case it was a bit confusing. We got AIP in March on the same day we had the interview for proving our relationship. Then few days later...online stuff changed to DM for myself. a week later, hubby's status changed to DM as well. Because they had made an error with our address, we ended up...

Sure. We arrived just before 11am and was asked to pay the landing fee of $490 first and foremost. Then we entered in a small room with the immigration officer. We were both asked to show ID and verify our info as well as answer a few questions which had already been asked during the entire...

FYI..."DM" does not mean stage 2 for everyone..just some folks I guess. I'm proof of that. So far we have only gotten AIP...still waiting for DM letter although ECAS has been saying "DM" for months now. This is all so confusing.

Just means you got AIP...not DM as yet. Just like us...we r stuck as well. According to online status...it says DM but the letters we received are just like yours...only AIP! *sigh*

So called CIC yesterday and they said they are not sure why AIP/DM letter is taking so long because it was in fact sent out on March 19th. So they will send another one just in case, which will take another 3-5 weeks. So frustrating.

Thanks! Hope so too. Hubby's dad is not in the best of health and we really wanted to go see him as soon as we can afford to do so.

No..nothing yet. We only got AIP verbally (after relationship interview on March 17th) and was told letters were on the way. Only my status was updated "DM" on the 19th saying letter has been sent re: me as a sponsor. Few days later...decision made update as well on hubby's page but no other...

OMG...So waiting on "DM" letters that supposedly have been sent since MARCH 19th. Anyone ever waited THIS long for a letter sent within Canada? I'm hoping that this delay means that we will receive EVERYTHING at once (DM letters AND landing date). CONGRATS to those who have been getting good news!

My husband's ECAS was updated last Saturday so not sure the "weekly on Tuesdays" thing is really accurate. I have no clue as to how the updates REALLY occur.
