From the secondary review thread, it takes anywhere from 6 months to a year and half. Though lately people have been receiving pr card after about a year, for those in secondary review. Like qureishi mentioned, it’s still case by case. With more details people can give suggestions accordingly.

I’d call IRCC to find out what exactly is going on. Requesting docs after DM is a bit strange.

Hi guys. 2017July applicant here. App went to secondary review in August 2017 and additionally documents sent to cic September 2017. I just checked Ecas and status has changed to decision made. I will update again once I find out what the decision is. Hopefully it’s a positive one.

I have 830 days out of 5 years. A few travels to my home country. If I had to guess is that I didn’t spend more days? Just upset to know it takes a year or more to renew a card.

As far as I know there is no immigration program for current students in Ontario.

1. After you become a landed PR, yes. Before you finish landing process, you risk losing your PR for moving to Quebec. 2. No. You can work anywhere as a PR. 3. Define survive. If you are talking about grocery, yes. If you are talking about working in a French speaking company, no.

10-12 months is probably the majority of secondary review pr card processing time. I’m still waiting on my application sent in 2017 July. Got secondary review email in August and sent all documents early September, didn’t hear anything since then, it has been 8 months since the application date...

Same timeline as you. Secondary Review received August, sent documents September 13, haven’t heard anything yet.

H&C grounds are not that easy to stand on. You left Canada, and stayed outside, but are granted PRTD, I assume you either have a close family member or living outside Canada was not your intention. Now you are talking about leaving Canada voluntarily without completing the RO. I don’t see where...
