    PR renewal 2018

Wolanila How are you? Long time since we talked. We also applied for a new PR card as well. We sent ours in and it was received on April 5th. According to the website we should be seeing something in a couple of weeks. Not urgent for us as we are not going overseas till January. Message sometime.

I submitted my wife's PR card renewal and it was signed for on April 5th. Will I receive a notification that it was received or will I hear nothing for 87 days which is what the website is showing.

    Changes on Oct 11, 2017 - Executive summary/FAQ C-6

First off I would like to thank Spyfy for his time spent to keep us informed and his/her diligence to keep this thread clean. As for the time spent in Canada; in our case it no longer matters as my wife reached the amount of days required on September 21st using the 4 years rule. What is...

Congratulation to those who are nearing completion of their journey to citizenship. It is a long and sometimes painful process. As someone who is only at PR stage we know what it takes and how hard it is on your emotions. Is their anyone still left in the process on this thread or is it coming...

I need help understanding the Language Requirements

I am more concerned as to what she needs to meet language requirement. Is it listening & speaking English or is it Listening, Speaking, reading & writing?

I need help understanding the Language Requirements

I am having a little trouble determining the language requirements for citizenship. Does an applicant have to qualify in reading and writing as well as listening and speaking? It seems to me that the CIC website only states listening and speaking where the IELTS website talks about all 4...

    Citizenship timeline-Saskatoon, SK

I first posted on this thread a few weeks ago and said that I only did that so I could easily find the thread and that my wife was still at least a year away. Well that all changed this week with the announcement of the government introducing a bill to change the 4/6 rule to 3/5 and the return...

Toward Understanding Bill C-6 to Amend Citizenship Act; new 3/5 rule plus

It is time for as new voice. My wife received PR in May of 2013. Under the 3/4 rule and pre PR time included she should have qualified in November of 2015. The 4/6 rule moved that back to May of 2017. I for one am happy with the change back to 3/5, I am not concerned with the wait time once our...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

My wife's PR Card arrived yesterday. It looks as though we are now complete. It feels like it has been a long journey but in the whole big picture it has not. I am now able to live with the person I love so much without fear of ever being seperated again. I joined this forum in September of 2011...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

I guess I was a little lax in my due diligence to ensure I completed the process. Once we had the landing interview I felt that the PR card was an easy step. I thought that maybe it was delayed because of the work stoppages at CIC. I guess I could call my MP and complain about what has happend...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2012

WOW, you are not going to believe this! I just talked with CIC and they had no address for us on file. I was shocked. I said we had recieved letters during the process. I was told that the address you give during the process does not transfer over and that if the landing officer does not ask you...
