Hi Ryan.... I'm not sure who posted it, not even if it was here or on the 2010. But I remember they related the whole ceremony in Vancouver and that it took 1 hour from beginning to end. I'll keep looking and if I get it, I will pass the link.

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

Actually that "record of landing" has a big stamp on it "not valid for travel" :( I heard that you can get on the Canadian consulate of your country something like a travel permit... is kind of a visa that allowes you to travel.... but I'm not sure about that. From the thread "inland 2011"...

The interview is exacty as Amanda described it. And yes, you can translate for your wife... I did it for muy husband. Tell her there's nothing to worry about... only how to celebrate when you finnaly go home with an official paper confirming your Canadian permanent resident status...

    Inland Application 2011

In your landing interview, they give you a "confirmation that you are a permanent resident"... That document is as good as the PR card.... except that is not valid for travel.... But 100% is good enough for your "travel permit"!!!! Congrats!!! And start getting the lugagge ready!!!!
