All members & Friends,
I heard from different resources and internet browsing, that once you submit the passport then real screening will start and in Ottawa they have department who does that screening so all embassies they have to wait for that approval from them once they receive approval then they issue the visa please share your experience if I am wrong, and what I really don't understand why that screen game don't start when your file IN-PROSES and its start when you submit the passport its really hassle that long without the passports, and Screening take up too, six months and maybe more. Please put some shade on my this thread,,,, Thanks.

From what I understand they will hold your passport between 4-6 weeks, it seems unreasonable to hold a persons passport for 6 months, In essence jailing them in the country where they reside.

I expect screening of passports may be a step CIC does not want to undertake unless all other lights have turned green.
