I have small children who will need to attend school once we're in the general surrounding Vancouver area.  I've tried researching the education system online with limited information.  I ultimately wish to know the same 'insider' knowledge you get from living somewhere a long time -- like, which areas are better to live and have small kids -- and which schools are better (or which ones simply offer different types of education for different types of learning skills each child has).  Any ideas on how to gain more school information?

No one knows neighborhoods like a real estate agent.

You could talk to a few while posing as a house hunter.

Hi

You could talk to a few while posing as a house hunter.

You could check the Fraser Institute scorecard on schools in BC which compares their performance.  http://www.fraserinstitute.org/reportcards/schoolperformance/britishcolumbia.htm
