1) In the Form Schedule3 Economic Classes (imm0008_3e), question 5 asks you to grade your proficiency in English and french (Basic/Moderate/High)....so what if there is a discrepancy between my self-assessment in this question and the result of my language test which i will take later on if i'm initially approved?

2) In the same Form Schedule3 Economic Classes (imm0008_3e), question 6 says:

"Have you taken an approved test to assess your proficiency in English or French?"

and if you check "yes", right next to it there is an arrow that says "provide a copy of approved test results", although i am sure that we are not supposed to submit IELTS score with initial application, so what does this mean?! should i just check "yes" with the intention of taking an IELTS test if the initial application is approved? should i just ignore this sentence: "provide a copy of approved test results",

(And the same concern about the photo space in imm0008egen, should i also just ignore: "space reserved for applicant photo" when applying initially?)

Thank you,
Sam

1. If you have taken IELTS General test already, then you need to select as per your test results. If not, then select whatever you feel is appropriate AS PER YOUSELF.

2. If you haven't taken IELTS General Test yet then select NO. If you have taken IELTS, then select YES.

This initial application is sent to Nova Scotia. They don't want to see any documents. They will just review your application based on the information that YOU provided and then tell you if you should send it to your nearest CHC office. Now, when they say YES to your application, you send this same application to your nearest CHC office. At that time, you WILL & SHOULD have the IELTS General Tests results with you. So, you will have the right information. Don't worry about it right now. Put in whatever you feel your english proficiency is. Select NO for IELTS if you haven't taken IELTS yet else put YES.

And yes, ignore the space for applicants Photo.

Thank you so much for replying, God Bless you!

i don't mean to be annoying, but in question 6 (have u taken language test), if i select NO, there is also an arrow next to it that says : Provide evidence of your proficiency in Canada's official languages.... which doesn't apply to me either, since i HAVE to take the test (because English isn't my native language) and i will not be submitting documents to prove my proficiency (whether initially or later)....

which makes me ask , can i apply initially just by submitting IMM008 (Application for Permanent Residence in Canada) which doesn't have detailed questions, in order to avoid this confusion? or do i also have to submit schedule 1, schedule 3, and additional family information forms ?

Thank you for ur patience,
you've already been a great help,
your reply is truly appreciated

Sam Sam

You need to supply all the forms that apply to your application so if you are applying as a family you have to ensure your spouse completes the forms they need too and include your children on the form if they are accompanying you, I know its a pain but if you fill them out wrongly or do not include the correct information your application will be returned or at a later stage refused and none of this is good...

If you need anymore help feel free to PM me

If you haven't taken the test, You select NO. You are not sending anything right now to NS to prove your proficiency. So, say No. When you take the test later you will have the IELTS and then select YES when you send all the docs to local CHC office.

You have to submit all the forms to NS. Your application is reviewed on the basis of all the forms. Every form has a specific purpose and information that helps them review your application. Spend some time to fill them nicely rather then being hasty and ending up losing couple of months just becoz of some confusions right now. Clear all your confusions. Take your time to fill the application nicely and then send it.

All the best.

Hi,

if you still not taking the ielts..just write no..then "not applicable" on the follow up question..

about the language.. just grade it "high" in English... coz you will not be qualified in the initial assessment if not.. french, of course not, unless u know it..

Note.. d not leave blanks on your applications..this might cause delay on your part..

Goodluck for us..
