Dear friends,

I had applied back in 2002 for Canadian Immigration under Federal Skilled Workers category and my application was turned down due to shortage of just 2 points.
Now while filling the subject form, do i suppose to check the second and third box under the YES column of Q No. 9. Please suggest??

Yes obviously you have to declare it otherwise it will be treated as misrepresentation.

Dear Hasni,

Qorax
could be the best to answer this critical issue. Please check with him.

I agree advice from Qorax is always the best!  However, you can work this out by reading it carefully.  The second point asks if you have ever APPLIED for a Canadian Immigrant or Permanent Resident visa....YES...Now if you answer yes to that, the only way you wouldn't have to answer the next question with a yes, would be if you GOT your visa on the first try, right?
Third point asks if you have been refused an immigrant or permanent resident visa in Canada or any other country.  It has to be YES.
So follow down to the lined section below and briefly state the situations to which you answered YES.
Good Luck

If the applicant checks any YES there, the explanation is a must.

 @ smiling_face & Pippin,

Yes i wrote that i had applied back in 2002 and my app was turned down bcz i fell short of just 2 points as per newly announced changes at that time. Please note that these changes were not in effect at the time when i had lodged my app.
Then i further mentioned the previous app reference number.
Would that be sufficient ?
