Hi,
Has any of you figured out a way to save data in the CIC forms? It seems almost ridiculous to not be able to save your data in the forms once you have typed into them? there are some pdf cracks out there does anyone know of any?

Sure, download them and annotate them with a PDF program.

Hi Vancouverite, unfortunately, you can't save data typed into that kind of form. Please print your completed form if you would like a copy for your records.
It's not about your pdf, but it's a convention thing.

Thanks

While I agree that printing is the easy option Smiley

Any file can be a PDF, and can be annotated.
That way every document can be stored and recalled in its original form.

You would need to buy one of those "PDF softwares" so you can save and store the entered data.

I understand they are free in many cases on a PC.

The Apple Mac version is included with the system (so sort of "free" in the usual sense).

Tried several free wares (not a MAC user) but none work Sad . Maybe have not searched diligently for something that would work Smiley. Would be great to have a saved filled up form and just change pertinent info instead of entering info each time.

I cant really test the PC stuff, so others may comment on that.

The good news when storing a full application as PDF files on a Mac, is that you can search the whole thing electronically. The data you entered and any text in the forms.
And if people have an application lost in the mail, regenerating the whole application is easy.

It would have been much better to send applications on disk (with selected original documents), the postal charges would have been a lot less.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is the best software to write inside the forms of CIC.
