Dear Friends,

I understand that we have to contact the Saudi Embassy in Kuwait to apply for the Police Clearance Certificate.

Can someone please tell me the exact procedure, how to obtain one?

I have sent my papers through my agent for filing with the Canadian High Commission in London office and  waiting for the file number at the moment.

I have obtained the blank request from the Canadian Embassy in Kuwait for the Police Clearance Certificate.

Someone mentioned we have to obtain the finger prints attested from the Finger Printing Department in Kuwait. What is the exact procedure for the same? Do we need some request from the Saudi Embassy for this or some other paper?

Kindly help as soon as possible.

Many Thanks.

Hi,.
Try going to the Saudi embassy to get first hand information. Some people find it difficult getting pcc from Saudi embassies.Sometimes they insist you get it from from Saudi interior ministry in KSA.Also when you go, translate the form Canadian embassy gave you into Arabic.

Thanks for the information.
Can you please tell me whether I should wait for the file number to arrive or whether I can start processing the police clearance certificate before the file number is received.
My consultant has just submitted the papers (as he mentions and I dont have any means to know the exact date) about 28th August 2011.

Hi my friend.

There is a instruction from CIC about Saudi Police Clearance. You need not get it unless the visa office request for it. Even if the Visa Office  request and if you are not residing in Saudi Arabia at present, you may not get it because Saudi Government does not issue a police clearance and finger prints for non-residents.

However, if the Saudi Embassy or Consulate in Kuwait is mercy up on your request, they could give you a letter stating that you don't have any criminal records in Saudi Arabia or there is no police case against you or you have not been convicted for any criminality in Saudi Arabia or similar to any of these meaning stated according to the embassy people.. Some times it would not take much time but could  take even  months. After all,  you know the style of those people in KSA Ministry and  how they respond.

In case after all your efforts and waiting, if you don't get a favorable answer form Saudi Embassy, you can  inform CIC that you are unable to get a PCC from Saudi govt. please attach a copy of your request letter given to the Saudi Embassy and copy their acknowledgment/receipt.

Wish you a good luck for your endeavor.

Hi drjafs

In my case I was not asked by VO to submit Saudi PCC, though I had lived 10 years in Saudi Arabia before applying for Can Imm. So in my humble opinion you leave it to VO to specifically demand Saudi PCC, otherwise your file will be through to next phase realizing Saudi PCC is almost impossible to obtain for former residents of KSA.

Hope this assists.

All the best.
