Thankfully the sponsorship processing times have decreased to 66 days (it was 70 when I started). I got my approval as sponsor November 17. Now just waiting for the AOR from Sao Paulo!
I am hoping for less than the 10 month process estimated in the CIC website.
Did you apply inland or outland?

We did outland I read a post from another guy who's wife got the visa only about 2 or 2 and 1/2 months after the files were transfered! I hope we beat that record. He said that the officer complemented them on how organized and complete their package was... I hope they don't ask for ANYTHING extra and they get right to it... the suspense is killing me! I did another call few weeks ago and again they were really nice with me.
You should try reach them and after let me know what they said.

ccbrasil, when I called there I kept getting an automated system as well. I got tired of it and started trying random extention numbers until someone answered me and I explained, if they couldn't help they transferred to someone who could.
The number is (55 11) 5509-4343, so just try the ending 4340, 4304 etc
