I am applying for temporary resident visa to visit Canada and the form requires me to answer whether I am married or not.  I am married to a same sex partner who is an American citizen.  The marriage is legal in California but not recognized by the US.  Do I fill out the information regarding my marriage in the 'family' section?

Same Sex marriage is recognized in Canada.
