RPRF Fees, when to pay ?

Hello,
I'm new on the forum, but I've been reading it for a few weeks. I'm sponsoring my American husband, and I'm from Montreal, QC.
We sent the files the 7th of March, the sponsorship has been approved on April 8th and Buffalo received the application for permanent residence on April 14th. We also received the CSQ from the MICC on May 12th. The e-cas says "application received" for about 1 Month.
I didn't pay the RPRF fees yet however, and I was wondering if I can do it now so it doesn't slow down the process too much in the future. I'd like to do it on-line like I did when we sent the files to Mississauga. Does anyone know how to do that ? Do I have to make the payment to Mississauga again ? directly to Buffalo ? do I have to write the client number somewhere ? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I tried to search on the forum but didn't find anything.

Pay, send a copy to buffalo, then send the ORIGINAL to Mississauga. Make sure to put your file number on the envelope.

I paid a month ago, and I am still waiting, my file was transferred to detroit, and they are ready, save for the payment that Mississauga have not acknowledged yet...

make sure you paid all the fees when sending your application. if you will wait for the request to pay, it will just up your months of waiting... it will cause delay to probably 2 months more...

If you can pay, pay now, every case is diferent but if you can pay now do it and send a copy of the receipt to Buffalo and Mississauga the original receipt, I paid until they asked me to pay it, it didn't take that long to get the visa and passport considering that Mississauga lost the receipt and they asked me to send it again, even with that, it took less than 2 months to get visa and COPR. the time was about 40 days after I paid ...as i said every case is diferent but if you can do it now just do it...it will be better for your process..

I had my interview last week, the same RPRF was not paid so they ask me to pay that and send a copy to CPC in canada where I had sent my application for the first time. The CPC will acknowledge the receipt of payment to embassey in US where the case is being processed.

so what you gotta do is that pay that fees online, get a print out of receipt and fill that. You will have to provide your DOB, client number, etc on that receipt and sent it to CPC in canada.

I can pay now so I guess I'm gonna do it. The only information I got is the client ID number I got with the approval of the sponsorship, it is ok ?
Another thinkg, when you say to send the original receipt to Mississauga and a copy to Buffalo, I don't erally understand the difference between the original and the copy as I will have to print that receipt form the website right ?

yes, you need to use the client ID number  from the letter you mentioned.
secondly, there's no such original and copy of receipt, just print out two copies of the same online receipt.
that receipt also comes into your email, so no need to worry if you lose it.
also, I am not sure about sending a copy to buffalo office. The visa officer clearly asked me to send it to Mississauga CPC, but you can send one to buffalo too, even I am thinking to do so.

Yes, it does not matter as long you send one to each office....make sure you print it once you have it on your screen...also if you are registered you'll receive another straight to your email....

just a quick question to all of you as I see you guys are quite good.

what are the different fees that i need to pay for family sponsorship outland case?

so far I have paid
 RPRF ( $490),
sponsorship application ($75),
principal applicant ( $475).

is there any other fees that I need to pay before getting immigration visa?
please list them up here so I could pay the one which I havent paid yet.

I agree with Makool. Total fees that should be paid is $1,040. It's always the best to pay the full amount in the beginning with the application (if you can). It just saves some time. In some countries it takes about 2 months to get the confirmation of payment from Mississauga to the designated VO of the applicant.

I paid my RPR fees on May 11, 2011 and I got the confirmation on May 18th, also the Mississauga office has acknowledged buffalo embassy about its receipt. I am hoping to get call from Buffalo coming week inshaallaah.

Sorry to ask a question as well here. Is the File Number the same as the Client ID? If not, should I see my File Number somewhere on eCas (because I can't find it). Otherwise, I should call the CIC hotline?
