Just a speculation on your part i guess.....

I mean i think, personally, whats the point of encashing the DD if they dont wanna issue Visa Smiley

They dont keep the money if they deny the visa right?

Actually they encash it as these instruments have a shelf life of 90 days .. so take the money an in rare cases return it back.. but it is still a positive steps forward , another few inches forward  Cheesy
