Hi Everybody,

Just want to share information of my application status and ask a question:

Application type: CEC
Application sent: July 11, 2011
Application received: July 13, 2011 ("We received your application for permanent residence on July 13, 2011. ")
Update on eCAS: "We started processing your application on September 28, 2011. "
AOR + Medical Request sent to my email: October 6th, 2011 - as well as mentioning my application is part of a group of files that has been transferred from Buffalo office to Ottawa.
Medical done: October 7th, 2011
Medical sent by the doctor: sometime in November, 2011
Update on eCAS - January 10, 2012: "Medical results have been received. "
January 30, 2012 - no update on eCAS, but I received an email with an attachment requesting the RPRF and passport request:

Dear Sir,

Please find enclosed the final instructions in regards to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Yours,

Immigration Section
Consulate General of Canada
New York, NY

My question:
1. Which location should I submit my passport? From the email, they're sending me the attachment from 1251 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10020 (not my nearest location). However, I read some news that I should be able to submit to the nearest location, just in case they will be asking to conduct an interview, in this case, my closest location would be to Buffalo (1 Hsbc Ctr # 3000  Buffalo, NY 14203-2830, United States).

Can anybody please advise?

Thanks in advance, and I'm so excited that everything is almost complete.

Good luck to you all.

Regards,
kucinganeh

You should submit your passport to the location mentioned in PPR email which is NY in your case.

Four (4) additional photos for yourself and your accompanying dependants. (Please see the following instructions) That means 4 photos or 5 photos??

I have submitted my passport and the other stuff. I sent out 4 photos.

What they mean by additional is, the additional photos of what we had sent out during the initial application process.

Hi, my file was initially sent to buffalo, but then, i received an email that they had transferred it over to ottawa (cpp pilot ottawa), then after they finished receiving the medical documents, etc in Ottawa, they transferred it into the location they wish, in my case, New york office. it might be due to the volume of applicants in other locations, they kind of wanted to spread the volume as average as possible.

update, now i have received back my passport with the immigrant visa affixed on it. will do my landing this coming weekend.

Good luck!
