Yes, you are right but i did electronic fingerprinting but it is still taking time.
The only second scenario i can think of is there might be already a criminal record on my name (lol may be because i got a common name i guess) which will ultimately take longer to process as RCMP will have to manually check all prints. Well that means its just my bad luck
but then my friend is on the same place as me.
Well, honestly I don't know how this system works. But i have applied it three times so far since 2007. Once in 2008 i beleive and I got it in 1 and a half week, and then I had to apply twice last month because first time I forgot to put in my application number on the mail i sent out, so just to be on safe side I re-applied and again it took them less than a week and RCMP sent it directly to the CPP-OTTAWA.
So, I donno why it would take long in some cases. Yeah that could be a possibility that your name is pretty common and they have to go through whole bunch of records to clear the name.
