Romanian Timeline - In Process

I've been searching and searching for reassuring words regarding Romanian processing times. My husband is Romanian, I am Canadian. My daughter and I came home to Toronto in April and sent my husband's papers in June. Last week they changed the status of our application to "In Process".

I really want to have my husband home for Christmas. We haven't seen him in 7 months and I'm really anxious to hear about his status. Does anyone have any experience with Romania? How long after the "In Process" status does it take for a final decision? Do all applicants have to go for interviews? If he goes to Bucharest after he's (hopefully) approved, can he have his passport stamped that day?

I would love love love some feedback from the forum!

Processing times indicated at the CIC website for a  complete application for Bucharest are about 7 months so I would not count on Christmas considering the timeline you have indicated n

  I see here you still waiting for news from Bucharest, did you get any?

  I am romanian woman and I am still waiting to get AOR from Bucharest; We aply the visa on 20 July, our file was almost lost in Mississagua, then it was found after a week, my husbund got the approval letter on 8 Novembe, since then no news. My husbund call Mississagua office a few times until we got an answer from them.

  It's very frustrating to see how much time takes such a process, and of course no one could give you a full answer concerning your file.

  I would like to know if you still waiting for AOR from Bucharest? I am in the same situation as you, Waiting waiting waitng....

I will be dealing with Bucharest once I get the application sent in. I am in the last stretch, but it still feels like so much work! How is your case going?

Not much going on latelly CharlizeRai, the last news I had from Bucharest was on 1th March when they confirmed they have my file and only paper missing is CSQ which I sent it right away by e-mail, and that was only when I made a request otherwise I don't know when they would have made this confirmation.

It was mildlle of January and my fille was still in Ottawa, I really don't know why becouse my husbund sent our file to Mississagua...only on 25th January our file got into the sistem in Bucharest.

Today I was trying to call Bucharest but they don't give informations by phone concerning my file.

So only thing I have to do it's to wait and I am really sick of all this wait without not knowing a thing....(no update on ecas what so ever... ).

I hope your case will be straight forward and without complications...not like ours...(I was married in Paris not at all my home country, second marrige, travel history...no kids though and not other issues...) but who really knows why our file stayed for so long in Canada...).

Wish you good luck with your application and a less stressfull process.

Any way don't forget, you need tones of patience, becouse an outland application it's never easy... .

Hey there!

I like that our Bucharest group is growing  )  Though I'm torn between liking it and wanting out  :oD  Same issue here, absolutely no word from the VO.  On Friday and Monday they were not open but I'm asking my friend that went to them once to go again tomorrow.  Hopefully they'll give her some answers  (my concern is that my wife's medicals are expiring so she may end up being delayed by a new set of medicals  (  )
I wrote to them a few times but they refuse to answer - it's really frustrating.  And this delays medical coverage through OHIP for my wife and her ability to travel outside of Canada once she gets her residence card  (there's a waiting period for this card too, and without it you cannot re-enter the country or at least not easily).   



PS: Is there a rule against using Romanian instead of English on this forum?

Yes Romanian group it's growing but it's quite short I would say.

The whole process it's frustrating but we cannot do nothing about it, just to have Fiath and wait, I just entered in a 9th month of waiting...

I hope to have some updates soon, we really need that; if they would have updated the e-cas it would have been better for us, but I don't know why they are not doing that... .

I would like to be a fly at times just to be able to fly away to CIC Bucharest office and see how they are working on our files.

PS People on this forum like to see our posts to be in english but did you see Manila Office posts...they don't care to much about it...so you can wirite in Romanian I don't really mind, and hope no one will really mind... .

  I am still waiting for an update, I sent to Bucharest an email 2 days ago asking for an update on ecas, it's not normal to not have any so far, on the permanent residece status I have only that: "we recieved xxxxx's application for the permanent residece on 21 July,2011", it's not TO elaborate from their part after so long...

My friend wasn't able to make it yet  (la Sinaia in vacanta  grrrrr).  I'm hoping she went today but I have no word as of now.  I will definitely post an update as soon as I find out.  

This just in:  my status changed to "in process"!!!!!!!   No other information other than 'we received your application ... ' which is the info that was there from the beginning, but at least it's acknowledged.

I'm so excited!!

Really, after the status changes ''in process'' you are so so close to the final decisoin, which it's going to be passport request for sure, in 3 weeks or a month you are going to have the good news.

You didn't have news s far but now your worries are vanished.

I had an email from Bucharest today and they said my file is currently in queue awaiting initial assessment by a visa officer, it takes longer than your as we can see.

You can start celebrating... , "in process" needs to be celbrated! .

It was indeed great news for us although now I'm trying to figure out the average wait time for this stage.  You're saying that's less than a month - is this a fact?  I really, really hope so  )  And your file can't be far behind - you should also bring out the champagne glasses.

  Usually, "in process" on ecas it's posted at the end of processing periode, well, is just what I have seen and read through these forum's postes...like you said my file is not far behind since it got into the sistem in Bucharest in January.
