RIV: Modifications

I have a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport that I'll be importing when we land. The RIV website "checklist" says this:

Do not proceed with any modifications to your vehicle until you receive the RIV inspection form.

and then....

All required modifications must be completed prior to the RIV inspection.

SO CONFUSED.

What exactly are daytime running lights? Are they the ones that are always on if your vehicle is, or are they the ones you can turn on just before you turn the full headlights on.

Hi,

DRL are the ones on in day time without  the use of your low or high beans......They will go on as soon you take the hand brake or emergency brake off...

I have a ....3 step switch (not sure how to word it) for my lights.

Off - running lights - full headlights

Then I use my blinker switch to go from high/low beams.

I'm not sure Canada will accept the kind I have or want the always on ones.

Hi,

By law the DRL, but I'm pretty sure they will give some time to update your lights system, and after you do it report it so you don't get a ticket...or something like that.
