I just got my letter of approval - I'll be landed on February 21st!  The letter says if I have not paid the Right of Permanent Resident Fee of $490.00 to pay it then.

I know we paid $550.00 for something when we started this process, but I don't know if that's the same fee or not.  Anybody know?

Thanks!

The $550 you already paid was the Processing Fees, you will now have to pay an additional $490 for the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF). These are two different fees.

The $550 is mandatory up front before any processing can be done, however the RPRF portion can be paid before or after processing, as long as it's paid prior to receiving your PR card.
