Hi guys, new member here.

Today my wife(my sponsor) received a mail from immigration canada asking for $490.00 as right of permanent residense fee.  I was just wondering what does this fee mean and does it indicate how close iam in getting the PR.

Some background info.....
1- Ive lived in canada for 7 yrs, did all my college education here and my wife (candian citizen) and I were together for 4 years before we got married.
2- Although iam in canada i applied from new delhi because the immigration lawyer told me that its faster and safer to apply from your country of citizenship.

My application reached new delhi on 1st april and they received medical shortly afterwards.

thanks for all the help in advance.

thanks for the reply.....ive got another question....ECAS says New Delhi started processing my case on 1st april, so its been a month and half, do they make their decision so fast.
I am usually not a pessimist but if they really did grant me a PR in month and a half then i have to say iam very lucky....Thanks for all the help everyone.
