yes because i called cic & they told me that this can cause a delay of up to 2 months , i paid it on 3 November & up till now i heard nothing from them, really i don't know what to do

Can you share your timeline? What province has nominated you ?
Some people are saying it doesn't make any difference, some people paid earlier than request and they don't have record of them paying..

Not sure what to do!

its better to pay it earlier so as to avoid any delay , i paid it as soon as i received email from pilot office ,month and half later my husband received email from visa office requesting his passport for visa issuance.
i live in Montreal.

From mine, it would not delay anything. It's money order/ certified cheque. If you send without any request, it might be lost or not get attention from VO.
